In a powerful conversation on my Unleash Your True Value® podcast, Jackie Bradley revealed how she’s leading a movement to bring humanity back into financial advice, a profession often defined by numbers, charts, and quarterly goals. As the founder of MindShift Financial Coaching and creator of The Financial Planning School, she helps advisors transform their practices from product-driven sales operations into advice-based, client-centered businesses.

From the beginning, Jackie’s curiosity about money set her apart. Growing up in a home where one parent was the saver and the other the spender, she became fascinated by the emotional and practical sides of finance. Even as a teenager, she made a personal commitment to understand money deeply and ensure it never limited her opportunities. That early curiosity became the foundation for a lifelong career of helping others do the same.

Her first professional experience was within a traditional wirehouse environment, a world built around aggressive sales goals and transactional client relationships. The culture celebrated volume and velocity, measuring success by how many deals were closed rather than by the impact made on clients’ lives. For Jackie, this approach felt out of sync with her values. The focus on selling products over providing guidance didn’t align with her belief that financial advice should be about people, not quotas.

This realization became the turning point in her career. Seeking an approach that felt more authentic, Jackie embraced financial planning as a discipline that prioritized listening, understanding, and guiding clients. During her time collaborating with eMoney in its early stages, she helped her firm pioneer a new model: charging for advice rather than for transactions. This shift represented more than a business decision; it was a statement that financial expertise and thoughtful planning held intrinsic value.

Beyond her passion for planning, Jackie discovered another strength that would shape her path: the ability to simplify complexity. She recognized that many advisors struggled to manage the operational side of their practices. Her knack for breaking down complicated systems into clear, actionable strategies became her “true value,” allowing her to transition from advisor to coach and mentor.

Through MindShift Financial Coaching and The Financial Planning School, Jackie now guides advisors in evolving their businesses from sales-driven to advice-centered models. Her programs help financial professionals establish sustainable, recurring revenue through planning fees, streamline operations, and build businesses that are both profitable and fulfilling.

Her message has been particularly empowering for women in finance, many of whom have felt isolated in a traditionally competitive, male-dominated industry. She champions collaboration and mentorship, encouraging women to explore the many ways they can thrive in financial services.

At the core of Jackie’s philosophy is authenticity, the belief that daring to be yourself is the most powerful form of leadership. Her journey proves that when purpose replaces pressure, success becomes more meaningful. By teaching advisors to serve rather than sell, Jackie Bradley is redefining what it means to thrive in financial advice.
